Privacy Policy

Mitaker (“we”, “us”) is a meeting notetaker made of a browser extension and a web app at https://mitaker.my.id. It records the Google Meet tab you choose, saves the recording to your own Google Drive, and turns captions, chat and audio into searchable transcripts and AI summaries. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and how you can remove it.

1. Data we collect

  • Google account information: your name, email address and profile picture, received when you sign in with Google. Used only to create and identify your Mitaker account.
  • Google Drive access (scope drive.file): lets Mitaker create a “MeetNoteaker” folder, upload recording files into it, read those same files back for playback and transcription, and check your storage quota. This scope only covers files created by Mitaker; we cannot see or change any other file in your Drive.
  • Meeting recordings: video and audio of the Google Meet tab you record, including other participants and your own microphone audio while you are unmuted in Meet. Recordings are uploaded directly from your browser to your Google Drive and are not stored on our servers.
  • Meeting content: Google Meet captions (speaker name and text), in-call chat messages, meeting code, title and timestamps, collected by the extension from the Meet page while you record.
  • Generated content: transcripts produced from recorded audio when captions are unavailable, and AI summaries (key points, feature requests, action items and decisions).
  • Technical data: encrypted OAuth tokens for your connected Drive accounts, a hashed token that links the extension to your account, and standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

2. How we use data

  • To record meetings and store the files in the Google Drive account you connect.
  • To show your meeting history, play recordings, and search transcripts and chat.
  • To create transcripts and summaries of meetings you record.
  • To keep the service secure and to troubleshoot problems you report.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles about you.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy

Mitaker’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the user-facing features described in this policy. Humans do not read it unless you ask us to for support, it is required for security, or it is required by law.

4. Service providers

  • Google Drive stores your recordings in your own Google account.
  • Supabase hosts our database with account data, meeting metadata, transcripts, chat, summaries and encrypted tokens.
  • Vercel hosts the web app.
  • Google Gemini API receives meeting transcripts, chat and, when captions are unavailable, short audio clips to generate transcripts and summaries. Mitaker currently uses the Gemini API free tier, under which Google may use submitted content to improve its products. Avoid recording meetings whose content must not be shared with Google on that basis.

5. Consent of meeting participants

You are responsible for informing meeting participants and obtaining any consent required by law before recording, and the extension reminds you of this. Mitaker does not join meetings as a participant or bot; it records only the tab you choose in your own browser.

6. Storage, security and retention

  • Data is sent over HTTPS. Google OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored.
  • Database access is restricted per account with row-level security.
  • Meeting data is kept until you delete the meeting or your account. Recordings stay in your Google Drive until you delete them, either from Mitaker or directly in Drive.

7. Your choices and deletion

  • Disconnect a Google Drive account at any time from the Google Drive page in Mitaker; we revoke and delete its tokens.
  • Revoke Mitaker’s access from your Google Account permissions.
  • Delete a single meeting from its page in Mitaker. This removes its transcript, chat and summary, and can also delete its recording folder in Google Drive.
  • Delete your account from Settings in Mitaker. This immediately removes your account and all meeting data we store, revokes Google Drive access, and can also delete the “MeetNoteaker” recording folders.
  • Delete recordings from the “MeetNoteaker” folder in your Google Drive at any time.
  • If you can no longer sign in, ask us to delete your account and all meeting data we store by emailing misrudinz@gmail.com. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Children

Mitaker is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the effective date above will change.
